環境・社会・ガバナンス（ESG）に関する国際的な認証制度である「Sakura Quality An ESG Practice」（通称：サクラクオリティグリーン）において、5 段階評価のうち 4 番目にあたる「4 御衣黄ザクラ」の認証マークを取得いたしました。自然環境や社会への積極的な関与が認められる「Regenerative（顧客が増える程、地域環境をより良くする施設）」と位置付けられています。

「Sakura Quality An ESG Practice」とは、株式会社サクラクオリティマネジメントが開発した日本発のESG認証です。認証の基準は、2022年3月に米国の持続可能な国際基準団体 グローバル・サステナブル・ツーリズム協議会（GSTC）から承認を受けました。同認証はGSTCの42の基準に基づいた172項目で構成され、チェックシートへの回答や、調査員による現地視察を経て、5段階のレベルで評価されます。

We have obtained the “4 Gyoiko Sakura” certification mark, the fourth level in the five-tier evaluation system of Sakura Quality An ESG Practice (commonly known as Sakura Quality Green), an internationally recognized ESG certification program covering environmental, social, and governance standards. This level designates the property as “Regenerative”, recognizing its proactive engagement with the natural environment and local community, and its commitment to creating positive regional impact—enhancing the surrounding environment as the number of guests increases.

"Sakura Quality An ESG Practice" is a Japan-originated ESG certification for accommodation facilities, whose standards have been approved by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), the organization that develops and manages international sustainability criteria. The certification consists of 172 criteria based on the GSTC’s 42 standards and is evaluated across five levels through responses to a detailed checklist and on-site inspections conducted by assessors.

サンゴ苗付け体験 / Coral Planting Experience

イラフ SUI では、環境の変化により減少が進むサンゴを未来へと受け継ぐため、「サンゴの苗付け体験」アクティビティを実施しています。
体験では、まずサンゴの生態や海洋環境について学んだ後、セメント製の土台に思いを込めたメッセージを記し、サンゴの苗を丁寧に結びつけていただきます。後日、これらの苗はプロのダイバーによってホテル近海の海底へと植え付けられ、美しい海に再び生命の息吹をもたらします。

At IRAPH SUI, we offer a “Coral Planting Experience” — an activity designed to help preserve and restore coral reefs that have been declining due to environmental changes.
During the experience, you will first learn about coral ecosystems and the surrounding marine environment. You will then decorate a cement base with your own illustration and carefully attach a young coral fragment to it. Later, professional divers will transplant these coral seedlings onto the seabed near the hotel, bringing new life and vibrancy back to the beautiful ocean.

マングローブツアー / Mangrove Tour

マングローブを通して地球の今を学ぶ——。

スターゲイザー / Stargazer

伊良部島の美しい星空を未来へと守り、自然と共に過ごす持続可能なディスティネーションとしての取り組みの一環として、「スターゲイザー」の時間をご用意しております。
毎日21:00～22:00の間は、館内の照明を通常より控えめにし、伊良部島ならではの澄み渡る夜空をゆっくりとお楽しみいただけます。また、客室内でも照明を落とす、カーテンを閉めるなど、光を抑えるためのご協力をお願いしております。過度な光を減らすことは、美しい星空を守るだけでなく、島の自然環境や夜行性の生き物への配慮にもつながっています。
静寂に包まれたイラフSUIで、夜空を見上げながら自然とのつながりを感じる、穏やかなひとときをお過ごしください。
※窓を開ける際は、虫の侵入にご注意ください。

As part of IRAPH SUI’s commitment to preserving the beautiful night skies of Irabu Island and embracing a more sustainable way of living in harmony with nature, we offer a special “Stargazer” hour each evening.
From 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM daily, the lighting throughout the hotel is dimmed to allow guests to appreciate the island’s clear and star-filled skies. 
We also kindly ask for your cooperation in keeping guest room lighting to a minimum by dimming the lights and closing the curtains whenever possible. This helps preserve the serenity of the island after dark while also supporting the island’s natural environment and nocturnal wildlife.
At IRAPH SUI, we invite you to immerse yourself in the quiet beauty of the night beneath the stars, reconnecting with nature.
*If opening the windows, please also be mindful of insects entering the room.

環境への負荷を軽減するため、館内全体でプラスチック使用量の削減に努めています。客室内のウォーターボトルには紙製ボトルを採用し、レストランや客室でご提供するストローにはサトウキビ由来の素材を使用。また、歯ブラシやコームは竹製のものを採用し、シャンプーやコンディショナーなどは詰め替え可能な備え付けボトルに統一しています。さらに、バスアメニティの包装には再生紙を使用し、持続可能な未来に向けた一歩を日々積み重ねています。

At IRAPH SUI, we are committed to reducing plastic use throughout the property to minimize our environmental impact. In our guest rooms, we provide water in paper-based bottles, and use straws made from sugarcane in both the restaurant and guest rooms. Amenities such as toothbrushes and combs are made from bamboo, while shampoo, conditioner, and other bath products are offered in refillable dispensers. In addition, the packaging for our bath amenities is made from recycled paper.
We take small yet meaningful steps each day toward a more sustainable future.

環境保全への取り組みの一環として、ご滞在中の客室清掃は「エコ清掃（ごみの回収・ベッドメイク）」を実施しております。シーツやタオルの交換は2日に1回とさせていただいておりますので、ご理解とご協力を賜りますようお願い申し上げます。

As part of our ongoing commitment to caring for the environment, IRAPH SUI carries out an eco-cleaning service during your stay, which includes trash collection and bed making. Linen and towels are replaced every two days. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us protect the natural beauty of these islands.
You are also welcome to take home any in-room amenities you have used as a small memento of your stay with us.
