Nara is surrounded by lush nature, including the renowned scenic area of Nara Park, as well as World Heritage sites such as Kasugataisha Shrine, Kohfukuji Temple, and Todai-ji Temple.

SDGsの国際認証「サクラクオリティ」の４御衣黄ザクラを取得 / Certified “4 Gyoiko Sakura” under Sakura Quality, the International SDGs Program
環境・社会・ガバナンス（ESG）に関する国際的な認証制度である「Sakura Quality An ESG Practice」（通称：サクラクオリティグリーン）において、5 段階評価のうち 4 番目にあたる「4 御衣黄ザクラ」の認証マークを取得いたしました。自然環境や社会への積極的な関与が認められる「Regenerative（顧客が増える程、地域環境をより良くする施設）」と位置付けられています。
「Sakura Quality An ESG Practice」とは、株式会社サクラクオリティマネジメントが開発した日本発のESG認証です。認証の基準は、2022年3月に米国の持続可能な国際基準団体 グローバル・サステナブル・ツーリズム協議会（GSTC）から承認を受けました。同認証はGSTCの42の基準に基づいた172項目で構成され、チェックシートへの回答や、調査員による現地視察を経て、5段階のレベルで評価されます。
We have obtained the “4 Gyoiko Sakura” certification mark, the fourth level in the five-tier evaluation system of Sakura Quality An ESG Practice (commonly known as Sakura Quality Green), an internationally recognized ESG certification program covering environmental, social, and governance standards. This level designates the property as “Regenerative”, recognizing its proactive engagement with the natural environment and local community, and its commitment to creating positive regional impact—enhancing the surrounding environment as the number of guests increases.
"Sakura Quality An ESG Practice" is a Japan-originated ESG certification for accommodation facilities, whose standards have been approved by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), the organization that develops and manages international sustainability criteria. The certification consists of 172 criteria based on the GSTC’s 42 standards and is evaluated across five levels through responses to a detailed checklist and on-site inspections conducted by assessors.
プラスチック使用量の削減に向けた取り組み / Initiatives to Reduce Plastic Use
紫翠では、環境への負荷を軽減するため、館内全体でプラスチック使用量の削減に努めています。客室内のウォーターボトルには紙製ボトルを採用し、レストランや客室でご提供するストローにも紙製を使用。また、歯ブラシやコームは竹製のものを採用し、シャンプーやコンディショナーなどは詰め替え可能な備え付けボトルに統一しています。さらに、バスアメニティの包装には再生紙を使用し、持続可能な未来に向けた一歩を日々積み重ねています。
At Shisui, we are committed to reducing plastic use throughout the property to minimize our environmental impact. In our guest rooms, we provide water in paper-based bottles and use paper straws in both the restaurant and guest rooms. Amenities such as toothbrushes and combs are made from bamboo, while shampoo, conditioner, and other bath amenities are offered in refillable dispensers. In addition, the packaging for our bath amenities is made from recycled paper.
We take small yet meaningful steps each day toward a more sustainable future.
